Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support data analysis, data quality, metadata management, and reporting using SQL Server, Azure Data Platform, and Power BI.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
0–3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, data science, reporting, or data management.
Basic knowledge of SQL Server and SQL querying.
Familiarity with Azure data services and data processing concepts.
Basic understanding of data cataloging, metadata, and data lineage.
Awareness of data quality assessment and validation techniques.
Familiarity with Power BI dashboards and reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn data governance and analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Informatica IDMC or similar data management platforms.
Responsibilities
Assist with collecting, preparing, cleaning, and validating datasets from multiple sources.
Write SQL queries to retrieve, transform, and analyze data.
Support data integration and analysis activities within the Azure Data Platform.
Assist with maintaining data catalogs, business glossaries, and data marketplace content.
Support metadata management and data lineage documentation using Informatica IDMC or related tools.
Perform data quality checks to identify missing, inconsistent, duplicate, or inaccurate records.
Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Document data definitions, transformation rules, and data quality requirements.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
Assist with troubleshooting data discrepancies and maintaining data documentation.
Follow established data governance, security, and access management standards.
