About Country Hills Golf Club

Country Hills Golf Club is the only 36-hole facility within Calgary city limits and is only 20 minutes from downtown and less than 15 minutes from the airport. The Club is easily accessible by way of Beddington Trail, Country Hills Boulevard, and Stoney Trail. Country Hills is a private, member-owned golf club. The two courses at Country Hills provide distinct and exciting golf experiences.

The Talons

The first Thomas McBroom design in Alberta features five lakes and the meandering Nose Creek which adds beauty and intrigue to your shot making strategies.

The Ridge

In contrast to the rugged appearance of the talons course, the Ridge course, designed by Dave Bennett, offers a more park-like setting with trees and manicured turf as the aesthetic focus. The upper nine presents panoramic views from the cliff tops. The lower nine is influenced by the rising cliffs and Nose Creek that will challenge your game to an incredible finish.

Members

Country Hills Golf Club offers outstanding amenities in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Members find the club to be a place of choice for both business meetings and social entertaining. Whether it is a round of golf, or dinner and drinks in our clubhouse, we provide Members and their families an extension of their own home. Position Objective

1.To be outgoing, friendly and a team player.

3.To facilitate all Corporate Sales as it relates to inventory management.

4.To interact with Clients to ensure proper billing of orders and collections of receivables

5.To work with Senior Sales Staff to help coordinate orders and deliveries with Vendors.

6. To ensure the proficient operation of the Corporate retail business.

7.To ensure that exceptional service is provided and that our Members and guests enjoy a remarkable experience while at Country Hills.

Structure

Reports to: Corporate Sales Manager

Works With: Administration, Senior Corporate Sales Staff, & Golf Operations Team Members.

Duties and Responsibilities

Corporate - Retail Focus

· Responsible for keeping the corporate merchandise organized and sorted for delivery.

· Assists with all Corporate Retail processes including submitting team expenses, shipping product to clients, billing completed orders through the POS, interacting with Clients regarding payments and inventory control.

· Receive merchandise into inventory system and creating SKU's for the POS and then submitting and coding invoices to Accounts Payable for payment within early purchase discount timeframe.

· Maintaining intimate knowledge of the corporate inventory and tracking through the embroidery and engraving process

· Achieves financial objectives by preparing and analyzing variances in inventory and initiating corrective actions.

· Responsible for month end inventory counts and reports.

· Assist with the movement of merchandise to and from vendors, embroidery and engraving and Client deliveries

Corporate - Client Focus

· Warmly welcoming all Members and Guests that arrive at Country Hills.

· Consistently staying informed on all sales initiatives.

· Attending to Client requests and complaints as required.

· Accurately invoicing clients according to each business' needs

· Following up on Client receivables to ensure timely payment

· Consistently developing strong relationships with Clients.

· Serve the needs of the Members and Guests in accordance with the operational and health & safety policies and procedures outlined in the Country Hills Golf Club Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures booklet and your detailed .

Corporate - Team Focus

· Staying up to date on product knowledge with our team and our core vendors.

· Monitoring Team Member sales and working with salespeople to coordinate merchandise delivery

· Working effectively with other Team Members in all departments.

· Arriving on time and in a presentable manner.

· Participating in team functions when schedule permits.

· Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Technical Skills and Knowledge

· Experience with POS systems and Inventory Management Programs. Northstar POS system experience is a bonus.

· Experience working in a promotional sales or retail environment.

· Experience working with Microsoft Office.

· Experience with E-commerce platforms an asset.

· Background experience in the golf industry a bonus but not essential.

· Excited by retail promotional trends and sales.

· Friendly and engaging with a positive attitude.

· Quick evaluation and decision-making abilities.

· Strong comprehension of English language (oral and written).

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work in an unsupervised environment.

· A valid drivers license and vehicle would be an asset but is not required

Work Characteristics

· Will be required to work on a casual basis with 15 to 20 hours of availability required per week, schedule can be flexible and will be approved by the Corporate Sales Manager

· Opportunity to occasionally work from home once a knowledge base has been established

· May require heavy lifting, must be able to lift 50 lbs. and walk at least 10 feet
