Cost and Administration Accountant

Duties include:

·      Quoting special projects and collaborating with CFO to determine pricing strategy

·      Analyze customer profitability and payment terms to maximize profitability and minimize bad debt

·      Preparing and analyzing ad-hoc reports for the sales team often utilizing advanced Excel skills

·      Managing customer discount structures

·      Full cycle accounting functions including receivables, payables, payroll, bank reconciliations, and GST filings.

·      Identifying and acting on process improvement opportunities

·      Miscellaneous duties to implement efficiencies and processes throughout the organization as needed

The successful applicant should have:

• Strong understanding of cost accounting and experience in manufacturing
• Advanced MS Office skills and demonstrated ability to accurately enter and analyze data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Demonstrated business and financial acumen
