Job Title: DZ Driver
Location: Kingston, ON
Shift/Hours: Monday to Friday, typically starting around 7:00 a.m.
Pay Rate: $2 5 .00 per hour
We are currently seeking a DZ Driver to support local delivery operations within the Kingston area. This role involves completing scheduled delivery routes, handling freight, and ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in safe driving practices, and provides professional customer service while representing the company on deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Complete scheduled local delivery routes throughout Kingston and surrounding areas
- Safely operate a DZ vehicle while following all transportation regulations and company policies
- Load and unload freight as required for deliveries and pick-ups
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns
- Accurately complete logbooks, delivery documentation, and trip sheets
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Provide friendly and reliable customer service at delivery locations
Requirements:
- Valid DZ driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract (within 30 days)
- CVOR (within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to use pump trucks or unload manually when needed.
- Able to lift 40lbs to 50lbs.
- Criminal background check
- CSA-approved safety boots
Work Conditions:
- Local delivery routes within the Kingston area
- Physical work may be required including loading and unloading freight
- Early morning starts with a consistent weekday schedule
