Director of Group Claims at First Canadian

Shape the future of claims at First Canadian Group Benefits in Edmonton. Leverage your expertise in group benefits to lead claims adjudication and administration teams effectively. As the Director of Group Claims & Administration, you will oversee the growth and management of our claims teams in a collaborative in-office environment. Your responsibility includes designing workflows, enhancing technology platforms, and ensuring regulatory compliance while directly impacting strategic directions. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership, influencing the trajectory of the Group Benefits division. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment and onboarding for claims teams
- Design and refine workflows for claims and plan administration
- Develop scalable best practices for client solutions
- Champion technology platforms for operational efficiency
- Conduct claims file reviews and implement improvements
- 5–7+ years in group benefits claims processing
- 3–5 years in a leadership role focusing on team performance
- Proven experience with operational workflows in claims
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
