We're currently looking for a Market Director in our Business Banking Centre in Edmonton

• Preference will be given to individuals with proven commercial banking experience. Compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience, skills, and education.

As a Market Director, you will strive to develop a high performance team to support the Edmonton growth strategy and ensure high quality member experience. You will implement a proactive approach to business development by cultivating a strong working relationship with your team, the branch network and local business owners.

More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leadership of a group of business banking professionals in the small to mid-size diversified commercial segment (including professional services and franchises) with a strong focus on new member acquisition including loans, deposits, and ancillary services
• In addition to leadership, you will manage a focused portfolio of key relationships
• Develop and maintain an effective business development plan with the goal to acquire new full service commercial business and truly help companies to succeed by providing all relevant products and services with the support of specialists, like Business Solutions, Servus Wealth Strategies, and other Partners
• Maintain a high profile and professional image
• Guide and develop your team on customized solutions including structure, negotiations and submission of credit applications to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
• As the Market Director, you will be accorded senior lender adjudication limits to support your team

Requirements

• A minimum of five years of demonstrated ability in all facets of commercial relationship management
• Essential knowledge and skills include demonstrated business development skills, analytical abilities and a sound knowledge of portfolio management acquired through the administration of a commercial portfolio
• Experience working and developing relationships with members, potential members, influential community people and staff is required
• Experience effectively leading a team
• University degree in a business discipline
• Relevant Business or Professional Banking Experience with a Canadian Financial Institution
• Sufficient experience in lieu of education will be considered
