Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated Process and Data Mapping Associate to support continuous improvement initiatives across our production and warehouse operations. The primary focus of this role is to observe how work is currently performed, document existing processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and help develop improved future-state workflows.

This is a hands-on role requiring significant time on the production and warehouse floor. You will work directly with operators, supervisors, coordinators, and other cross-functional teams to understand current processes, create clear process maps and documentation, analyze operational data, and support implementation of practical process improvements.

Process Mapping & Documentation

• Observe production and warehouse processes firsthand and document current (“as-is”) workflows.
• Create process maps, flowcharts, and other visual documentation showing process steps, handoffs, decision points, and information/material flow.
• Identify bottlenecks, delays, duplication, gaps, and other process inefficiencies.
• Develop and document improved (“future-state”) workflows based on operational requirements and stakeholder input.
• Create and update SOPs, trackers, and standardized process documentation.
• Work with process owners to validate process maps and ensure documentation accurately reflects operations.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Collect, organize, and analyze operational and production data from multiple departments.
• Maintain Excel reports, process trackers, and dashboards.
• Validate data accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Use operational data to support process analysis, identify trends, and measure improvements.

Continuous Improvement & Coordination

• Support process improvement and operational efficiency projects across Production and Warehouse.
• Work directly with operators, supervisors, coordinators, and other departments to understand process requirements and gather information.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Present process findings and proposed improvements clearly to stakeholders.
• Support implementation and follow-up of approved future-state processes.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. Co-op students are welcome to apply.
• Previous experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, flowcharts, or similar process documentation is required. Experience assessing current-state processes and developing future-state workflows is strongly preferred.
• Previous exposure to process improvement, workflow analysis, or operational improvement projects is required. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis, or similar methodologies is an asset.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or other industrial environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with operational data are required.
• Able to gather information from employees at different levels, ask effective questions, and clearly document and present findings.
• Comfortable spending significant time on the production and warehouse floor observing processes firsthand.
• A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle are required for travel between our Port Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows locations.

Schedule & Pay Details
Location: Port Coquitlam, BC | Pitt Meadows, BC
Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary Contract
Estimated Duration : 6 Months
