The Role
We're hiring our first Senior Marketing Manager - a strategic, hands-on leader to craft and execute the marketing vision for PiShop. This is a brand-new, high-impact role, perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and creativity. You'll shape how we present ourselves to the world, engage with our growing community, and build a modern marketing function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own PiShop's marketing strategy across brand, content, digital, and product marketing
- Define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for current and future products
- Set up and operate modern marketing tools and analytics platforms
- Plan and execute hands-on campaigns (email, social, SEO/SEM, influencer, etc.) while identifying areas for outsourcing or automation
- Manage external vendors, freelancers, and contractors as needed
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to align marketing with roadmap and technical innovation
- Support sales and distribution with effective collateral and market insights
- Track performance, measure ROI, and continuously refine based on data and feedback
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in marketing roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
- Proven track record in marketing tech, electronics, or open-source hardware products
- Strong understanding of digital tools: CRM, analytics, automation, content systems, etc.
- Excellent communicator with both technical and creative fluency
- Experience building or scaling marketing teams or functions from scratch
- Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting tactical, while also thinking strategically
- Passion for maker culture, embedded systems, Raspberry Pi, or open hardware is a strong plus
