Job Responsibility:
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the automotive and machinery repair industry. The Apprentice Mechanic will work under the guidance of experienced mechanics, learning essential skills and techniques while contributing to the maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues in heavy machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for repairs and maintenance.
- Support experienced mechanics in heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and cranes.
- Learn to weld and perform basic fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair principles is preferred but not required.
- Experience with HVAC systems or farm machinery is a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
- Ability to work with power tools safely; training will be provided as necessary.
- Strong willingness to learn new skills and techniques in the mechanical field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
