Job Responsibility:

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. operates in a competitive global market producing wide ranging metal-based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Mining, Oil & Gas, Crane, and Drag-line Components, Agricultural, Machine building, and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing.

We are looking to fill the position of Processor , reporting to the VP of Operations. This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills and can work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience is an asset.

Responsibilities :

· Assist Processor.

· Plasma machine/ burning table programming.

· Review upcoming jobs and determine materials needed.

· Ensure resource availability and allocation.

· Draw in CAD details to be cut.

· Assist in nesting parts on material.

· Help with inventory count on material.

· Learn how to operate plasma/ burning table machines.

· Ability to read and understand blueprints.

· Plan the manufacturing of large complex fabrications.

· Have the basic understanding of machining fabrications and castings.

Qualifications :

· An educated background, preferably in the field of:

o Mechanical engineering

o Drafting

o Manufacturing

o Programming

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, in a dead-line driven environment.

· Strong working knowledge of the current Microsoft Office suite.

· Time management and prioritizing skills.

· Ability to adapt to and learn on a consistent basis.

· Excellent research skills.

· Ability to be thorough and pro-active in nature.

· Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.

· High level of logical thinking.

· High level of personal integrity.

· Strong work ethic.

· Self-starter.

· Confident, consistent, decisive personality.

Pay: From $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
