Property Accountant - Permanent - 19591

Our client in the downtown Ottawa area is seeking a Property Accountant to join their fast-paced, growing organization on a permanent, full-time basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Calculation of accruals, processing and recording of expenses and prepaids, review of amortization schedule
• Reconciling bank and credit card accounts, resolving discrepancies, adjustments as needed
• Posting of journal entries, working closely with the General Ledger, adjustments as needed
• Assisting in the coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts
• Production of Financial Statements, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual results including Income Statements, P&L, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Management
• Preparing tax submissions
• Assisting with financial reporting and analysis as needed, working closely with Senior Management
• Providing reporting as needed
• Assisting with Month End & Year End reconciliations and closing

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related stream
• 4+ years of experience in full-cycle Accounting
• Experience with Yardi software ideal
• Exposure to Real Estate or Property Management industry is a strong asset
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative

About the Job

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $75,000 to $65,000 based on relevant previous experience.
