Full-Cycle Property Accountant Role

Join a vibrant team as a Property Accountant / Full-Cycle Bookkeeper in Downtown Ottawa, utilizing a hybrid work model. Focus on full-cycle accounting management for residential and commercial properties. We are on the hunt for a detail-oriented Property Accountant with an educational background in Accounting or Finance and approximately five years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, monitoring detailed records, and supporting property operations with clear insights. Proficiency in Yardi and advanced Excel skills are essential, alongside strong analytical capabilities to handle competing priorities effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire accounting cycle for property portfolio
- Create and prepare financial statements and reports
- Maintain rental income and operating expense details
- Conduct bank reconciliations and solve discrepancies
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and tracking variance
- Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Five years of property management or real estate accounting experience
- Hands-on Yardi expertise required
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
