Position requirements :  

• Must have a class 5 or higher driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract  
• Ability to lead, plan organize, delegate and problem-solve 
• Able to deal with high stress levels 
• Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population 
• Capable of walking up to 10 km a day.  
• Ability to run short distances  
• Willingness to be exposed to dangerous situations alone 
• Exceptional customer service, professionalism, and communication (both Verbal and written) skills 
• Advanced security Training will be provided to successful candidates.  
• First Aid certification is an asset; Training will be provided to successful candidates 
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment and prioritized based on the severity of the issue.  
• We able to work under minimal supervision  
• Willing to undergo a drug panel screening 

Job tasks/ Responsibility :  

• Conduct Regular patrol (Day / Night) and surveillance of all client facilities and provide access control as needed. Grant or deny access based on established protocol.  
• Efficient alarm responses to client facilities within designated time frames. - Respond to accident calls and emergencies (Vagrant Removal, Burglary Alarm, Motion Alarm, and so on). Escalate problems that cannot be resolved by yourself.  
• Maintain a good rapport with all Paladin Employees and client staff, while being aware of the confidential information being handled and vigilant to potential intruders.  
• Handle all incidents in a professional and calm demeanor.  
• Property lockups/ Unlocks 
• Cleaning and maintenance of company vehicles 
• Quality assurance checks 
• Scheduling of guards 
• Be a leader and role model amongst paladin security guards 
• Complete administrative and other tasks as assigned by Mobile Manager or by the Branch. 

Expectations:  

• Arriving 15 minutes early to your shifts 
• Become familiar with the petty trespass act, landlord act and other Provincial act required for the job 
• Become familiar with the use of force continuum and be willing to use force if required.  
• Be willing to carry and use handcuffs once properly trained.  
• Complete all training within 3 months of being hired.  

Education Requirements (All)

Grade 12 or GED equivalent

Certification Requirements (All)

First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification
Valid Class 5 License
Valid Manitoba Security Guard License
