Education

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10+ years of Custom and/or Out-of-the-box design
• Available portfolio for presentation
• P.Eng registration preferred but not manditory

Duties / Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design calculations and analysis of mechanical equipment for the Steel Industry.
• Prepare technical and other project specifications.
• Coordinate mechanical design work with that performed by other engineering disciplines.
• Be capable, if the need arises, to coordinate and direct the work of a small group of mechanical designers and draftspersons.
• Prepare proposals, feasibility studies, reports, and preliminary designs.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, conceptual layouts, and sketches.
• Develop initial concepts into final designs, which would include preparing detail drawings, assemblies, bills of material, etc.
• Investigate field problems, and prepare reports.
• Provide on-site technical support during major machinery installations.
• Provide support to the sales team when visiting customers.
• Provide technical guidance to co-workers.
