If you have a passion for agriculture, travel, technology, and content creation then we can’t wait to talk to you! We are looking for a motivated Marketing Intern that is eager to play a pivotal role in advancing our digital tools and marketing strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Visit branches and collaborate with staff to feature each location in weekly social media content, driving awareness and interaction.

• Develop and post weekly in-field content (photos, videos, social media posts) that highlights branch activities, agronomy and energy practices, and the intern experience.

• Research and optimize website features to align with user needs, ensuring a seamless and engaging online experience.

• Join crop scouts in-field to build agronomy knowledge.
• Grow your industry knowledge by attending grower appreciation days and other industry events.
• Engage with internal users and external stakeholders.

Plus, you will also be responsible for your own  Digital Engagement Project

• Travel and participate with GROWMARK Intern group as required.
• There are mandatory travel dates in May, June, and late July/ early August.
• Analyze user behavior on our new website, social channels, and myFS Agronomy app, identifying opportunities to drive engagement and streamline the user experience
• Conduct interviews (online and in-person) with current and potential users to gather insights for app and website optimization.
• Project Presentation: Summarize findings and propose actionable strategies for enhancing digital engagement and effectiveness.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• You are currently enrolled in a degree or certification at a community college, technical college, or university and in good academic standing at the start of the internship, with preferred candidates going into their Junior or Senior year at the time of the internship. (Note students graduating before the start of their internship do not qualify).
• You have access to a reliable vehicle, a valid G driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to travel independently as needed, including required passport and visas to travel to the United States.

You can demonstrate:

• Strong understanding of the ag industry and our users to be able to develop relevant content.
• Ability to work well independently to schedule a week of in-field travel for content, interviews, etc.
• Passion for creative writing.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Aptitude to learn new technology.
• Proficiency with cell phones for photos and video.
• Strong communication and interviewing skills.
• Interest in web page mapping and logic.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

• Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OHSA and Ministry of Transportation policies and procedures, as they apply.
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education about GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
• Participate in all GROWMARK Internship Program activities and meetings.
• Attend three required internship events:
  • May 24-25, 2027: Orientation Meeting (Bloomington, IL)
  • June 28-30, 2027: Mid-Summer Meeting (Location TBD)
  • August 11-12, 2027: Conclusion Meeting (Bloomington, IL)
• Actively participate in mentoring, networking, and professional development opportunities.
• Complete and present a summer internship project.
