This position is located at our Corporate Parts Warehouse in Langley, BC.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Corporate Parts Warehouse Lead Hand will be responsible for ensuring accurate packaging of outbound parts orders and receipt of incoming parts. This position will be looked upon for recommendations involving overall Warehouse department efficiencies and improvements. The Warehouse Lead Hand will help monitor inventory, order parts, and make recommendations to the Corporate Warehouse Manager. This position will work effectively with all warehouse staff in order to ensure the highest level of accuracy in day-to-day warehouse operations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that the warehouse staff understands their duties and responsibilities
• Leads by example by displaying professional and ethical conduct at all times
• Assigns and directs warehouse staff duties
• Coaches warehouse staff as needed•Safeguards company equipment at all times
• Receives ordered parts and checks each item for damage, correct quantities, backorders, etc.
• Packages and marks parts orders to meet delivery schedules
• Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive
• Helps with picking and packing orders
• Maintains warehouse in good order for efficiency, cleanliness, and safety - including parts binning and locating of inventory as needed to keep stock organized
• Reports any parts issues encountered [e.g. mistakes, low stock] to the CorporateWarehouse Manager
• Handles pulling of obsolete return parts as needed
• Helps with physical inventory counts
• Completes daily cycle counts as per company instructions
• Becomes familiar with and complies with the company's Health & Safety Manual.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Corporate Warehouse Manager

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Parts experience would be considered an asset
• Supervisory experience would be considered an asset
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to use non-powered equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficiency with MS Suite of Products, knowledge of CDK and/or parts inventory management systems
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Accountability and dependability with the ability to self-manage time and priorities
• Must be able to lift 25 kgs or 50 lbs

• Frequent bending and lifting
• Shipping/receiving area and parts counter
• This is deemed to be a safety sensitive position

SALARY

The salary for this position is $65,000 annual salary.
