We are looking for an incredible Investment Representative to join our Contact Centre team. Customers and Financial Advisors contact us with questions and for help with our products. Reporting to the Manager, Online Trading, the Investment Representative is responsible for ensuring our customers receive exceptional service from knowledgeable, passionate people who are hardworking and sincerely interested in helping customers. What your day looks like

• Respond to inquiries via telephone, email, or chat on Qtrade Direct Investing (QDI) products and services in an efficient, compliant, courteous, and professional manner.
• Support our clients by managing the order flow for online trading from our self-directed clients.
• Act as the primary contact with the client for resolution of problems and complaints by initiating an investigation, recording details, referring to the relevant department and conducting follow-up.
• Keep current with market trends and news items which may affect markets and impact clients' investment decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying, suggesting and actively participating in process improvement.
• Understand and apply department operating policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Post secondary education is preferred with emphasis in business or economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) or Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) is required.
• 1-3 years' experience as an Investment Representative in Direct Investing supporting Client trade orders, Financial Advisor or an Associate Advisor is ideal.
• 2-3 years' related work experience in the financial services industry in a customer facing position or in a call centre.
• Options Licensing Course & Derivatives Fundamentals Course (DFOL) or Derivatives Exam is an asset and is required within 6 months of being hired.
• Securities registration as an Investment Representative within the past two years is ideal.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with volumes dictated by market trends, client demands, and seasonal peaks.
• A positive attitude and excitement regarding learning new tasks and skills to keep up with changing environments/duties.
• Ability to adapt to change as hours can change and schedules may shift.
• Fluent English; bilingual French is an asset.

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $68,000 - $78,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
