Lead venture capital investments with BDC’s Thrive Venture Fund, using financial analysis and structured thinking in a hybrid work model.As a Principal, you will source opportunities, lead execution, and oversee investment relationships and performance. The $300M fund invests in women-led, high-growth, innovative technology companies across Canada. Your work will span due diligence, investment memos, portfolio support, and team development.Key Responsibilities:
Lead initial company assessments and investment recommendationsBuild networks for deal flow and syndicationOrchestrate complex due diligence analysesPrepare Investment Memos for Investment Committee presentationsMonitor portfolio companies and support value creationRequirements:
Seven to ten years of relevant professional experienceBachelor’s degree in business, economics, science, technology, engineering, or mathematicsThorough understanding of sourcing, diligence, and portfolio managementAdvanced Excel financial modeling and data analysis skillsClear investment writing and structured problem-solving abilitiesBring venture capital expertise, financial modeling, and relationship leadership to BDC’s women-focused technology investment platform.
