Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated, professional, customer service orientated professional to join our Cloudstreet Restaurant team as Greeter/Host (Full-Time) .

Greeters/Hosts are responsible for welcoming guests and creating a positive first impression. Through warm, attentive interactions, they help shape the overall dining experience by managing seating arrangements, coordinating reservations, and providing menu recommendations. Greeters play a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction and delivering exceptional service. This position is responsible for all duties related to greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and maintaining the organization and presentation of a full-service, three-meal restaurant and bar.

If you have worked as a restaurant greeter/host, your skills are invaluable to the position of Greeter at Hyatt. Your restaurant job experience will give you the tools to be successful as a restaurant Greeter/Host at Hyatt.

This position will require the colleague to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to Holidays, Weekends, and other scheduled shifts as required by business needs.

Starting wage for this position is $24.98 per hour, after six months the wage increases to $29.15 per hour and after one year it increases to $33.31 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work various shits including weekends and holidays; breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts
• Must have Serving It Right certificate
• Must have Food Safe Level 1 certificate
• Must possess refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have previous customer service experience.
• Must be able to interact and work with a diverse group of associates and guests
• Minimum of at least one year food and beverage experience in a high-volume restaurant with hosting duties
• Knowledge of Micros POS and Open Table system is preferred
• Knowledge of a second language considered an asset
• Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
• Must be highly organized and able to perform and prioritize tasks
• Must be an excellent team player
• Must remain positive, energetic and professional at all times

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing throughout shift
• Frequent walking throughout the shift
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
