Responsibilities
Accounting• Actively participate in the month end and year end processes (i.e. journal entries, reconciliations, forecasts, budgets, etc.)
• Ensure data integrity and that results are reported under current accounting standards Financial Analysis
• Conduct monthly financial analyses of revenue and expenses
• Explain budget discrepancies and forecast differences
• Create and analyze reports, dashboards and financial models in order to monitor performance
Controls, Processes and Systems
• Follow internal financial processes and ensure accounting standards are applied
• Participate in system optimization to increase the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting (e.g. developing new processes, tools and models)
• Improve documentation of financial processes
Education and Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Has or is in the process of obtaining a CPA title or equivalent
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in accounting or corporate finance
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Excellent analytical abilities and critical thinking
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Bilingual (French and English) - Team spirit and interpersonal skills
• Client orientation
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of SAP (asset)
