Regional Sales Manager - Motion Control
100% Remote / Home-Based – Candidate must reside within the assigned Northeast territory, covering CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME, and Canadian provinces east of Quebec.
$110K - $120K Base, $20K - $30K Projected Comm ($130K - $150K OTE)
50% US Northeast Travel
Our client, a global manufacturer of advanced motion control and automation solutions, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth throughout the Northeast territory. This is a technical, hunter-focused sales role responsible for developing new business while expanding relationships with existing OEMs, integrators, and value-added partners. The Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the Sales Director.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering – Required
4+ years of Motion Control sales experience – Required
Strong understanding of servo systems, motion control, and industrial automation
Technical knowledge of mechatronics, electrical systems, software, and related applications
Proven hunter mentality with the ability to identify and develop new business
Experience selling technical products and solutions to OEMs, integrators, and/or value-added resellers
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Experience consistently using a CRM; Salesforce preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to travel approximately 50% throughout the territory
Nice-to-Haves
Experience selling servo drives, motors, motion controllers, or related automation technologies
Established relationships with OEMs and automation customers within the Northeast
Salesforce experience
Experience developing and executing strategic territory growth plans
Responsibilities
Drive new business development and expand existing accounts throughout the assigned territory
Develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on sustainable growth and new customer acquisition
Manage relationships with OEMs, integrators, value-added resellers, and other strategic customers
Identify new markets, applications, customers, and revenue opportunities
Maintain regular contact with existing and prospective customers through onsite visits and ongoing account development
Manage incoming leads and convert qualified opportunities into new business
Work closely with technical resources to develop solutions for customer applications
Prepare strategic proposals and quotations, follow opportunities through the sales cycle, and convert quotes into orders
Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and opportunity information within Salesforce
Develop strong technical knowledge of the company’s motion control products and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and competitive advantages
Provide market intelligence regarding industry trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and future product needs
Target approximately 20% year-over-year sales growth
