SUMMARY

The Maintenance Team Leader – Static is responsible for overseeing a team of technicians in the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on‑demand services for assigned facilities. It involves ensuring that work performed complies with established processes, internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection. In addition to people leadership, the Team Leader performs maintenance duties.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

People Leadership

• Leads a team of individual contributors
• Assigns, prioritizes and monitors work progress
• Monitors execution of activities and performance to ensure timely completion and adherence to all requirements including operating procedures, quality, performance and contract response requirements
• Guides, coaches and trains direct reports
• Provides input for performance review

Service Delivery and Maintenance

• Oversees and monitors the activities of Technicians within the assigned facility, ensuring compliance with processes and internal/external requirements such as environmental, health and safety, and fire protection
• Ensures proper application of processes and practices to achieve and adhere to all requirements
• Conducts regular facility, mechanical and electrical equipment monitoring and inspection, and performs preventative and corrective maintenance to meet uptime objectives
• Observes facility conditions and deficiencies, providing recommendations for enhancement and repair
• Conducts facility walkthroughs and monitors mechanical and electrical equipment
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains building systems and equipment
• Responds to routine and on‑demand service requests and performs maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment and systems
• Maintains work order records within the service management database, initiating documents for formal approval of work
• Coordinates implementation of the preventative maintenance program and maintains related documentation
• Participates in facility‑related projects
• Maintains assigned tools and arranges for repair or replacement as required, submitting expenditures on time
• Provides, participates and supports training, safety meetings, operational meetings, and toolbox talks
• Works shifts, on‑call, standby and emergency call‑outs as needed
• Enhances tenant and customer satisfaction by maintaining positive relations through the quality of work performed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Work Requirements

• Must be able to be on‑call and available to respond to emergencies
• Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment
• Must meet enhanced security clearance requirements

Knowledge and Skills

• Facility operations and maintenance work experience
• Previous people leadership experience (preferred)
• High school diploma plus trades training and certification
• Ability to lead a team of individuals
• Advanced ability to adhere to processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance
• Advanced ability to maintain and repair building mechanical and electrical equipment and systems
• Advanced troubleshooting and resolution skills for building mechanical and electrical equipment and systems
• Current knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards and ability to research and apply related codes and standards
• High level of environmental, health and safety mindset; ability to perform work in a safe manner
• Strong client‑service orientation with a high sense of urgency
• Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
• English is required to serve English‑speaking customers
