Job Title: Business Analyst (Global Markets)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a premier Global Markets team. In this role, you will provide critical day-to-day support for global repo trading desks and act as a subject matter expert for system integrations and process enhancements. You will work closely with front, middle, and back-office teams, as well as risk and collateral management, to ensure operational excellence.

Logistics & Compensation
- Location: Toronto (Hybrid: In-office Monday & Wednesday).
- Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Duration: July 20, 2026 – January 15, 2027 (Potential for extension).
- Compensation: T4: $73 – $76/hour | IC (Independent Contractor): $83 – $86/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Provide daily support for global repo trading desks, serving as a primary point of contact for inquiries from Front/Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and Accounting/Settlement teams.
- Process Improvement: Participate in the delivery of small-to-medium size enhancements to existing processes based on business priorities.
- System Lifecycle Management: Lead the rollout of new vendor functionality, including testing, validation, stakeholder coordination, and production deployment.
- System Integration & Expertise: Act as the expert for all integration aspects of Repo systems. Collaborate with external teams to resolve issues, including market data providers, settlement systems, trading venues, clearing houses, and tri-party agents.
- Maintenance & Security: Participate in system upgrades and infrastructure/security patching to ensure applications are validated and business-ready following changes.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key business stakeholders and internal technology contacts.
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Experience: 2–3+ years of experience working with Repo trading systems within a sell-side organization.
- Repo Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of all aspects of Repo trading, including trade execution, lifecycle events, inventory management, collateral management, settlements, and electronic/tri-party trading.
- Technical Systems: Experience with one or more of the following: Bondfire, Broadridge (FinPro/Impact/SFCM), Bloomberg TOMS, FIS BondOne, Calypso, Anvil, or Apex.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python and Excel/VBA for building productivity tools and applications is highly preferred.
- Assets: Knowledge of outright bond trading and Interest Rate derivatives.
