Location: This role is eligible for hybrid – this means you’ll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office (Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario or Manitoba branches) on a scheduled rotation, as remote work opportunities may be considered.

Pay Range: $122,139 - $162,859

Lead the development and ongoing evolution of commercial automobile underwriting governance, processes, standards, reporting, and monitoring across SGI CANADA and its regions.

Qualifications

• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders to identify business and customer needs, align priorities, and deliver business objectives.
• Leverage deep expertise in Commercial Auto insurance and strong business acumen to inform decisions, support strategy execution, and drive results in a competitive marketplace.
• Have a proven track record of delivering key priorities , including the successful development and implementation of strategies and supporting corporate initiatives.
• Champion SGI’s culture and values by leading through change, supporting people with empathy, and collaborating across cross‑functional teams to bring strategies to life and deliver tangible outcomes.

Typically, these skills are gained through a four‑year degree from an accredited post‑secondary institution in a relevant field of study, such as Business, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial, Applied or Social Science, or a related discipline, along with ten years of experience. This includes six years of leadership experience and four years in a technical insurance, statistical, actuarial, or finance position.
