Join TD Insurance as a Senior Counsel II in Toronto, Ontario, specializing in complex insurance litigation and claims management. Leverage your expertise to represent clients and drive legal strategies forward. Reporting to a Practice Leader, this role entails managing assigned civil litigation cases for TD Insurance. With over five years of relevant experience, you'll navigate personal injury and property damage claims. Your responsibilities will include drafting legal documents, conducting trials and mediations, and maintaining communication with clients and analysts. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop legal strategies for investigations and trials
- Conduct questionings and manage mediations
- Draft pleadings and legal documents as required
- Research applicable laws relevant to cases
- Communicate with clients and internal teams effectively
- Law degree (LLB) and bar admission in Ontario
- 5+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation
- Strong knowledge of legal documents and procedures
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Motivated self-starter with a professional demeanor
