Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dispatch Coordinator role based in Edmonton, AB. The Dispatch Coordinator will schedule, assign, and monitor loads, ensuring drivers, routes, and equipment are optimized for on-time and safe deliveries. The role involves communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues, update shipment status, and manage changes in real time. The Dispatch Coordinator will perform accurate data entry in dispatch and transportation management systems, maintain records, and prepare basic reports as needed. This position also requires handling incoming calls and messages, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple requests while maintaining a calm and professional approach.

Qualifications

• Dispatching and load coordination skills, with the ability to plan routes and manage schedules efficiently.
• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with drivers, clients, and colleagues.
• Proven Skilled Multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize, follow up, and adapt to changing demands.
• Accurate Data Entry skills and comfort working with dispatch or transportation management software.
• Previous experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation dispatch is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment under time-sensitive conditions.
• High attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety and compliance.
• Availability to work full time, including occasional extended hours or shifts as operationally required.
