Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $60,325 to $102,143, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).
-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
-Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.
Job Summary:Electives Teacher - Grades 10-12
0.857 FTE continuing contract, starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Media Design, Marketing/Entrepreneurship, Textiles and Photography at the Secondary level.
This position is tentatively scheduled to include a Study Block, Media Design 10/11/12, Entrepreneurship 10/11/12, Textiles 10/11/12 and Photography 10/11/12. Please note that all work will be on site.
