Position Summary:

Kindsight is seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer to join our Product Engineering team and help build and evolve Connect, our Salesforce-native constituent and donor portal.

This is a hands-on product engineering role for someone who wants real ownership. You won’t simply work through a backlog or deliver one-off Salesforce implementations for clients. You’ll help shape a commercial Salesforce managed package used across multiple customer environments, making decisions that affect architecture, scalability, maintainability, release quality, and the long-term direction of the product.

Connect is Kindsight’s constituent and donor portal, built directly for the Ascend CRM. It enables fundraising teams to create branded donation forms and giving pages, support multiple payment methods and recurring gifts, and give donors a personalized experience where they can update their information, view giving history, download tax receipts, manage recurring gifts, and access reports—all natively within the CRM.

We’re looking for an engineer who is naturally curious, takes initiative, and sees problems through to resolution. Someone who asks “How can we make this better?” rather than waiting to be told what to build. You’ll be expected to understand the why behind the work, challenge assumptions when appropriate, contribute to technical decisions, improve existing systems, and take ownership from design and development through release and production support.

You’ll work closely with Product, QA, and fellow engineers in a highly collaborative Agile environment. Some days that means designing a new capability; others may involve untangling legacy code, improving CI/CD, investigating an issue in a subscriber org, strengthening automated testing, or finding a cleaner and more scalable approach to something that already works.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Experience Cloud, SOQL, and Flows.

• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver thoughtful solutions.

• Contribute to the maintenance, improvement, and support of existing Salesforce-based applications and managed packages.

• Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, stand-ups) and collaborate closely with peers on a remote team.

• Write clean, efficient, and testable code; contribute to code reviews and technical documentation.

• Support product releases through testing, deployment, and post-release monitoring.

• Ensure solutions comply with Salesforce governor limits, data model best practices, security and performance standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience developing Salesforce managed packages in a product environment is a must.

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Flows, unit testing, and code review.

• 3+ years of Salesforce CI/CD tools, processes, and usage.

• 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining commercial software products.

• Familiarity with Salesforce DX and SFDX CLI.

• Demonstrable knowledge of various SDLCs and CI/CD concepts and processes.

• Passion for setting and enforcing Salesforce best practices and coding standards that promote code reusability, maintainability, and performance.

  • Experience working in a product engineering environment; candidates with primarily client consulting experience should also demonstrate hands-on ownership of product development.

  • Experience shipping versioned releases to multiple subscriber orgs

  • Familiarity with fundraising, higher education, or CRM systems

Compensation Range: $120,000 - $160,000 annual salary range, based on experience, market benchmarks and role complexity. We aim to offer fair, competitive pay that reflects your skills and the market.
