As General Counsel, you will be the strategic legal partner for Vendasta's executive team, overseeing critical legal functions and ensuring robust compliance frameworks. Expertise in managing risk and executing capital market transactions will be vital to fulfilling this role. A background in SaaS and corporate law is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement organizational legal strategies
• Oversee complex mergers, acquisitions, and compliance initiatives
• Negotiate legal agreements and maintain governance frameworks
• Evaluate risks related to data privacy and compliance standards
• Coordinate relationships with external legal entities and regulators
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in-house or in a law firm
• Bachelor’s degree in law (JD or LLB)
• Active Law Society member in Saskatchewan or equivalent
• Expertise in corporate and intellectual property law
• Proven track record in M&A legal transactions
