Job Summary
We are seeking a Parts Technician to join our team as a Customer Service Representative in our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating quarantined material, confirming MTRs and quality documentation, supporting shipping and inventory departments, and responding to customer inquiries. This role requires proficiency within SAP and working knowledge of mining, oil, and gas sector parts. Strong communication and organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with the broader stakeholder network are necessary for the role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Investigate shortages, overages, and quarantined inbound material.
- Work collaboratively with vendors and customer stakeholders to resolve inbound order disputes and inquiries.
- Investigate and attain quality documentation for inbound materials requiring MTRs, CRNs, etc.
- Actively manage inbound quarantine workflow and provide regular updates on progress.
- Utilize SAP, SAP-EWM, and related warehouse management software to investigate and resolve receiving and shipping disputes.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
- Resolve customer concerns and issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Communicate order status and tracking information to customers.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to address customer requests and resolve issues.
- Work with the quality control team to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of customer service processes and procedures
- Complete transactions in client inventory management system as requested.
- Confirm documentation provided by the Business and perform system receipt of material which physically bypasses Bluewater representatives.
- Maintain diligent understanding of the warehouse processes, such as receiving, returns, and goods issue, to ensure comprehensive investigation of concerns.
- Provide training and support, as well as investigation, in response to daily Ad Hoc requests from co-workers.
- Drive and maintain communication with other Customer Service representatives
- Provide reports data as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel
- SAP/equivalent inventory management program an asset
- Forklift certification considered an asset
- Knowledge of mining and/or oil sector related parts considered an asset
- Parts Technician Red Seal considered an asset
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
- Responsible and works well with others and independently
- Excels under high pressure situations
- Proven strong communication and personable nature
Working Conditions: Be comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Aspects of the role will require one to stand for extended periods of time, constantly lifting/picking/moving moderate to heavy materials, completing repetitive tasks with minimal breaks. Ability to lift maximum 50 lbs.
