ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager, Adult and Youth Live-In Programs, the Clerk Typist is responsible for providing support across a variety of administrative and operational functions to facilitate team success.

WHAT YOU BRING
Education/Experience:
- Post-secondary education in office administration, business administration, or other administrative field, together with previous related work experience
- Preference will be given to candidates who have provided reception and clerical support for medical and clinical staff
- Demonstrated experience in working with the addiction and mental health service client population is essential
Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in the preparation and maintenance of clinical records and preparation of medical correspondence
- Experience with scheduling and payroll processes
- Demonstrated data entry skills, including experience with Meditech, CWS, Catalyst, Staffright, Microsoft Office, GroupWise and Access applications and web-based data collection systems
- Excellent public relations, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to perform the duties of the role in an office setting, including working at a desk for extended periods throughout the day
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
Conditions of Employment:
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
