Senior External Data Specialist, remote Canada

Senior External Data Specialist at Fortrea supporting clinical trial data management for external vendor and laboratory data. Responsible for developing vendor data plans, ensuring data integrity, managing discrepancies, and collaborating with sponsors and vendors across multiple projects in a remote setting based in Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Develop Vendor Data Plans including data quality review reconciliation and file to Trial Master File
• Collaborate with external vendors and sponsors on study expectations, timelines, and communication protocols
• Verify electronic vendor data transfers contain protocol parameters in correct format and populate specified fields
• Develop, document, and QC external data edit checks and reports; manage resulting discrepancies
• Maintain documentation of data issues in study and vendor logs through resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, health sciences, information technology, or related field
• 4+ years pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or clinical trial industry experience
• Project management experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, planning, and critical-thinking skills
• Fluent English written and verbal communication
• Understanding of ICH-GCP principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and strong technical aptitude

Compensation: $85,000–$100,000 CAD
