At Efthimakis Insurance Agency Inc. – Desjardins Insurance, we're looking for an ambitious, self-motivated Insurance Sales Representative to join our growing team.
You don't need insurance experience. You do need to be excited about sales.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys prospecting, networking, building relationships, and consistently doing the activities that lead to success.
Your roleThis is a proactive sales position focused on new business development.
You'll be responsible for creating opportunities, working leads, building a sales pipeline, and helping clients identify insurance solutions that fit their needs.
You'll begin with Personal Property & Casualty Insurance and progressively develop into Commercial Insurance and, eventually, Life Insurance.
What you'll be doingMaking outbound calls and generating new business opportunities.
Prospecting and developing relationships with prospective clients.
Networking with local professionals and business owners.
Following up consistently with leads and future renewal opportunities.
Managing your sales pipeline and daily activities.
Preparing insurance quotes and conducting needs-based conversations.
Identifying opportunities for additional insurance protection.
Asking for referrals and developing long-term client relationships.
Working toward individual and team sales goals.
Maintaining detailed client documentation and accurate follow-up records.
Participating in ongoing sales coaching and professional development.

Previous experience in sales, business development, banking, automotive sales, retail, hospitality, or customer service would be an asset.
Insurance experience is not required.
This position may not be the right fit if…You prefer waiting for customers to contact you, dislike outbound calling or networking, or aren't comfortable being accountable for your daily activities and results.
Sales requires consistency, resilience, and initiative.
We'll provide training, coaching, and support, but your willingness to create opportunities and develop your pipeline is essential.

You'll receive structured training and ongoing coaching throughout your development.
Compensation and benefitsStarting base salary of $40,000 annually for entry-level candidates without insurance experience.
Sales commissions provide additional earning opportunities.
Individual and team performance bonuses throughout the year, subject to qualifying criteria.
