The Position
Key Responsibilities
- Operate haulage ore trucks and load-haul-dump (LHD) equipment to transport ore to designated ore passes or dump points
- Perform mucking and tramming operations to maintain a consistent ore flow
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Assist with ground control activities, such as installing ground support, scaling loose rock, and ensuring workplace stability
- Perform various underground support tasks, including material handling, ventilation maintenance, and equipment relocation
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and technical staff to ensure efficient workflow and task completion
- Support the production team with additional duties as assigned.
Skills And Qualifications
- Valid Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core certification is an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in an underground mining environment
- At least 2 years of underground mining experience, preferably in a production role
- Licenses or certifications for operating 30-ton haulage trucks, scoop trams (LHD), rock breakers, and tractors would be considered an asset
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions with a focus on safety and efficiency
