Director of Commercial Management Calgary

Lead commercial strategy development as a Director on the Calgary consultancy team. Oversee contracts, manage risks, and ensure financial health in this vital role. The Director of Commercial Management works to align project objectives with strategic commercial initiatives. Effective contract management includes the administration of major contracts and subcontracts while ensuring compliance. The role demands expertise in risk identification, claims preparation, and financial oversight including cost forecasts and cash flow management. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategy for projects
- Manage major contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks effectively
- Lead claims preparation and dispute resolution negotiations
- Oversee financial reporting and cash flow management
- Minimum 15 years in commercial management roles
- Degree in Law, Business, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Proven experience in contract negotiation for projects over $1 billion
- Knowledge of commercial risk management and procurement strategies
