La possibilité

À titre de chef d’équipe de fiscalité, vous ferez partie des professionnels talentueux et dynamiques de notre groupe Observation et déclaration à l’échelle mondiale, qui fournit des services de qualité axés sur l’observation fiscale et l’établissement de provisions pour impôt dans de nombreux secteurs, dont ceux des produits de consommation, de l’énergie, des services financiers, de la fabrication, des technologies, du divertissement, des communications et des sciences de la santé. 

En tant que chef d’équipe de fiscalité, vous serez responsable notamment de la gestion et de la coordination des services d’observation fiscale et d’établissement de provisions pour impôts offerts aux clients. Vous ferez également équipe avec des professionnels compétents et créatifs qui ont le souci du service à la clientèle et vous orienterez leurs efforts.

Vos principales responsabilités

  • Effectuer divers mandats auprès de sociétés, particuliers, fiducies et partenariats, notamment en ce qui a trait à des questions de planification fiscale, d’établissement de provisions pour impôts, d’observation fiscale et de contestation fiscale.
  • Offrir des services et produits opportuns et de grande qualité qui dépassent les attentes des clients.
  • Offrir de l’encadrement et du mentorat à des membres du personnel moins chevronnés afin d’assurer l’exactitude et l’exhaustivité des mandats.
  • Perfectionner ses compétences techniques en restant au fait des tendances, des nouveautés législatives et des décisions des autorités fiscales, et les appliquer à des situations complexes relatives au client.
  • Relever des possibilités relativement à la prestation de services de planification fiscale et d’autres services spéciaux et prendre part à l’élaboration de documents de leadership éclairé.
  • Faire preuve de professionnalisme en adoptant une attitude positive et de collaboration et en assurant la nature confidentielle et exclusive des relations clients et des produits de travail connexes.

Compétences et qualités pour réussir

  • Diplôme de premier cycle dans un champ d’études connexe et au moins cinq ans d’expérience en fiscalité canadienne des sociétés
  • Titre comptable ou toute autre expérience pertinente ou certification pertinente à un domaine de spécialisation
  • Réussite du Cours fondamental d’impôt (In-Depth Tax Course) de CPA Canada
  • Excellentes aptitudes en supervision, en analyse et en leadership
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication écrite et verbale
  • Engagement à apprendre dans un milieu axé sur la technologie fiscale
  • Solides compétences en gestion de projets et en organisation
  • Capacité à respecter des échéances serrées
  • Orientation vers les processus et solides compétences en documentation

The opportunity

As a Tax Staff, you will be a part of our Global Compliance and Reporting Group.  Our Global Compliance and Reporting model is all about providing our people with the skills, information and knowledge to take on some of the biggest challenges in taxation.  The vision of EY’s Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) group is to grow today’s tax professionals to be tomorrow’s leaders.  You can expect a unique insight into our business, where you’ll build a network of relationships in an area that influences major business decisions every day. Your key responsibilities 

Your role as a Tax Staff will give you the opportunity to combine corporate tax work with structured and virtual learning. Our curriculum will build your career in Canadian Corporate tax; includes work experience in tax compliance, tax accrual reviews, tax provisions and tax planning. Our people work on key client issues in domestic corporate income taxation, with a focus on implementing tax strategies that align with the client's business objectives.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with quality, timely and responsive services and work products.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts.
  • Discuss moderately complex tax issues with the engagement team and client management.
  • Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Thoroughly and accurately analyze information.
  • Prepare practical and effective approaches to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
  • Preparing corporate tax returns
  • Auditing tax provisions
  • Share tax planning ideas with others.
  • Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals.
  • Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans and assist in making quality decisions in complex areas.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Either:

    • A bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field; or
    • a diploma in accounting with a minimum of 2 years of relevant tax/ accounting experience; or
    • equivalent experience in business or industry
  • A passionate interest in developing their Canadian income tax knowledge
  • A desire to work in an environment with learning opportunities on a daily basis
  • Exceptional PC proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
  • The ability to manage time spent against budget and work alongside team members to ensure the timely completion of exceptional client service
