Job Title: Production Associate Location: Delta, BC (Tilbury) Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Production Supervisor / Production Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our nutraceutical manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating equipment and executing processes involved in the production of dietary supplements, including dispensing, blending, encapsulation, tableting, coating, and cleaning in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing : Accurately weigh and dispense raw materials according to batch records.
- Blending : Operate blenders and ensure proper mixing of ingredients as per formulations.
- Encapsulation : Set up and operate capsule-filling machines; monitor weight and quality.
- Tableting/Compression : Operate tablet presses ensuring uniformity and in-process checks for weight, hardness, and thickness.
- Coating : Execute tablet coating processes and monitor parameters like spray rate and inlet/outlet temperature.
- Documentation : Complete batch records, logbooks, and other required documents in real-time and accurately.
- Cleaning : Perform line clearance and equipment cleaning between batches, following SOPs to avoid cross-contamination.
- Troubleshooting : Identify and escalate mechanical or process deviations to Maintenance or Supervisors.
- Safety & Compliance : Follow all Health & Safety, GMP, and SOP protocols throughout operations.
- Teamwork : Collaborate with QA/QC, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year of experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment (nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food preferred).
- Knowledge of equipment such as capsule fillers, tablet presses, coating pans, and blenders is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and a proactive team player.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Exposure to powders, noise, and industrial equipment.
