Yard Leader

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with customers and teams alike? We're looking for a motivated and safety-focused  Yard Leader to help lead the daily operations of our busy lumber yard while delivering outstanding customer service.

In this role, you'll oversee yard operations, support and lead team members, maintain inventory flow, and ensure customers receive the products and assistance they need quickly and efficiently. If you enjoy leadership, organization, and working outdoors in an active environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a busy lumber yard and warehouse environment
• Assist customers with product selection, loading materials, and providing exceptional service
• Ensure products are properly stocked, organized, and ready for purchase
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, unloading trucks, and inventory movement
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient yard environment
• Demonstrate and promote the highest standards of workplace safety and customer service
• Supervise and support team members, including scheduling and performance reviews
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs proactively
• Oversee order picking and ensure accuracy and efficiency in fulfillment
• Safely operate tools, equipment, and materials handling processes
• Support merchandising and overall yard presentation

• Great customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management and employees.
• Able to do physical work.
• Quick learner and self-motivated.
• Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
• Ability to work co-operatively in a team environment.

• Experience in lumber, building materials, warehouse, or yard operations preferred

• Forklift experience or certification is considered an asset.
