Professional Summary
Experienced Manual QA Tester with 8+ years of expertise in validating web, mobile, and enterprise applications. Skilled in designing comprehensive test strategies, executing functional and non-functional testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high-quality software releases. Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and defect management processes.
Key Responsibilities
Review business and functional requirements to develop effective test scenarios and test cases.
Perform end-to-end functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Execute test plans across multiple platforms, browsers, and devices to ensure application stability.
Validate data integrity and business workflows by conducting backend and database testing.
Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and daily Agile ceremonies.
Provide detailed test execution reports, defect metrics, and release readiness assessments.
Support production deployments and perform post-release validation activities.
Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to testing best practices and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of hands-on experience in Manual Software Testing.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Experience with Agile and Scrum development environments.
Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience testing web, mobile, and enterprise applications.
Exposure to API testing using tools such as Postman.
Understanding of automation testing concepts and QA best practices.
Experience working in regulated or high-availability environments.
$45 - $48 per hour
