Training and Development Coordinator

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze needs, skill gaps and versatility challenges in order to develop training plans aligned with production needs and Infasco’s priorities.
• Plan, coordinate and evolve training activities in collaboration with production, quality, HR, supervisors and managers to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
• Ensure the sustainability and development of the WCM Human Development pillar.
• Develop, maintain and integrate competency matrices, learning paths and training data into our systems.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to identify and validate development needs and ensure training, development and compliance objectives are met.
• Standardize training, assessments, work methods and learning tools to ensure the quality and effectiveness of training activities.
• Manage, support and follow up with a unionized employee acting as lead trainer.
• Coordinate the onboarding, integration and training path of new employees while taking operational realities and requirements into account.
• Manage and follow up on projects related to training, versatility and skills development, particularly as part of WCM initiatives.
• Develop and improve tracking tools, dashboards, reports and automation solutions to measure training activity performance.
• Ensure administrative and regulatory follow-up of training activities, including OHS training, certifications, renewal deadlines and documentation required during audits.
• Maintain a regular presence on the shop floor to understand operational issues, identify emerging needs and adapt training solutions.

Education and Experience

• College diploma or bachelor’s degree in administration, human resources, industrial relations, organizational development, continuous improvement or a relevant field. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a role related to training, skills development or continuous improvement.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing competency matrix, training programs and learning paths.
• Knowledge or experience with WCM, Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement approaches.
• Good knowledge of adult learning, pedagogy and knowledge transfer principles.
• Experience with ERP, LMS or other training management tools is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written, as well as functional knowledge of English to communicate with representatives of other group entities in Ontario and the United States, particularly during WCM-related exchanges and supplier plant visits.
