Principal Manufacturing Innovation Strategist

BIOVECTRA, part of Agilent, seeks a Principal Manufacturing Innovation Strategist to lead manufacturing strategy and capital initiatives for GMP production of biologics and small-molecule APIs. The role involves technical leadership, process optimization, facility planning, and translating business requirements into scalable manufacturing solutions across multiple production modalities.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to engineering and project teams
- Guide process scale-up, technology transfer, facility modifications, and lifecycle optimization initiatives
- Develop three- to five-year manufacturing and capital plans aligned with corporate growth objectives
- Lead major capital projects from concept through commissioning, delivering within scope, schedule, budget, and value targets
- Evaluate facility expansions, acquisitions, and technology transfers; resolve enterprise-level engineering challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, biotechnology, biopharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, or equivalent discipline
- Ten years pharmaceutical manufacturing experience with substantial biologics and/or API production background
- Demonstrated success leading complex capital projects and strategic manufacturing initiatives
- Thorough knowledge of GMP, Annex 1, ICH guidance, and FDA/EMA/Health Canada regulatory requirements
- Master's degree and/or MBA preferred
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or equivalent credential preferred
- Expertise in both biologics and small-molecule API production preferred
Compensation: $121,644.00 - $190,069.00 CAD annually plus bonus, stock, and benefits eligibility
