SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Coordinator, Human Resources .
About Your New Role
Reporting to the Supervisor, Human Resources, the HR Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting human resources functions, including recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, training & development, maintaining HR records and providing general administrative support. The HR Coordinator will also work closely with the Admin Travel team to provide back-up support in scheduling travel and accommodations.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, company policies, programs, and HR procedures, while fostering a positive, open line of communication. Assist with performance management program
- Maintain employee records. Prepare reports on HR activities and metrics. Coordinate employee offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and updating records to ensure compliance.
- Assist with new employee onboarding, facilitate new employee orientation, and assist in supporting recruitment functions including attending career fairs and talent acquisition events.
- Assist with organizing training and development sessions for employees, including new program development, helping track attendance, feedback, and compliance with ongoing learning initiatives
- Support attendance programs, sick leave, disability management, and WCB cases, and other leaves of absence.
- Supporting site events, preparation and taking part in special projects as assigned or requested.
- Any other duties as assigned by the department.
Your Knowledge And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of applicable legislation, labour relations principles and practices, job evaluation methods, WCB, compensation and benefits, recruitment techniques, policy development and administration, human resources planning and organizational design strategies is an asset.
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment within general policy guidelines.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise and competent reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, internet and web-based applications, experience with Human Resources Information Systems such as Workday and SAP are considered an asset
Your Education And Experience
- Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in human resources or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- A minimum of three years’ experience working in human resources, preferably in mining or industrial settings
- CHRP Designation or working towards designation is considered an asset
About Our Working Conditions: This position will work primarily 8-hour days Monday-Friday out of the Saskatoon office but will be required to provide on-site coverage at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan throughout the year. Training for this role will be done on-site during the first couple of months.
Coverage schedules will be established in advance and will require working the occasional week on, week off schedule (7-day shift of 11-hour days), with possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. When working on site, you will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from the pick-up point in Saskatoon. Though this is primarily a Saskatoon-based position, occasional travel for recruitment events or training sessions may also be required.
