This new and pivotal role ensures the organization operates within appropriate frameworks, actively mitigating risks, safeguarding our organization’s reputation, upholding unwavering quality standards and fostering trust among clients and stakeholders. 

What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you will focus on driving strong governance, proactive risk management and consistent quality across the Firm. You will work across a range of initiatives to support the Enabling Areas in meeting the highest quality standards whether for internal operations or external client-facing projects. 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

• Monitor regulatory developments and conduct on-going risk and compliance assessments
• Advance governance structure & compliance oversight on firmwide policies 
• Serve as a primary point of escalation and drive timely intervention for quality risk issues, driving consistent quality expectations and best practices across Enabling Areas
• Support leadership across firmwide and global committees on quality and risk matters 
• Develop clear, timely reporting of quality & risk matters to senior management and those charged with governance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the business process, systems, and operations.

About the team

This role is part of the Regulatory, Quality, Risk and Reputation (RQRR) team and reports directly to the Enabling Areas Quality & Risk Leader. The RQRR team protects the Firm’s brand and reputation while enabling sustainable growth through disciplined risk management, quality excellence, and strong governance. We work closely with all our Enabling Area offices, our client serving businesses, and leadership to ensure a coordinated approach to compliance. By fostering collaboration and applying a continuous improvement and client centric mindset, we drive an agile, resilient, and client-aligned organization that delivers consistent value. Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

 

You are someone with these required skills: 

 

• 5+ years of experience in a Regulatory, Risk Management and/or Compliance related field
• Strong organization and process management skills: ability to prioritize competing demands and adapt to evolving priorities and ad hoc responsibilities
• Experience with preparing Board level reporting, including presentation materials and corresponding speaking notes
• The ability to build relationships and establish trust with individuals including internal leaders and external parties
• Familiarity with Canadian standards, industry norms, and regulatory requirements
• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

It would be great for you to have some of these nice to have’s as well: 

• Bilingualism in French and English - written and verbal (Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, English is required for this position)

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
