Director of Finance with Strategic Oversight

Become a key executive leader as the Director of Finance, responsible for full financial management in alignment with our mission of supporting Indigenous communities. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of financial operations. As Director, you'll ensure the fiscal integrity of the Agency through effective budgeting, compliance, and reporting. You'll manage day-to-day financial tasks while supervising the finance team and ensuring strong internal controls. This role requires an analytical mindset and proactive involvement in risk management. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive financial reporting
• Supervise payroll, accounts, and general ledger functions
• Ensure adherence to funding agreements and accounting standards
• Provide strategic advice to the board and senior management
• Establish and monitor internal financial controls and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred
• Strong risk management and analytical skills
• Knowledge of non-profit financial frameworks
• Ability to enhance financial literacy across teams
