Role title: Marketing Coordinator

Location: Hybrid-remote, Toronto/GTA

Start date: Q4 2026

Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 annually

Who you are:

You identify with our brand because you live it - you're an enthusiastic go-getter, a true team player and an all-star human with a passion for youth development and sports. You'll bring:

• A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, media, business or a related field - or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Internship, co-op, freelance or other relevant experience in marketing, social media or content creation.
• Excellent time management.
• Strong social media instincts and an understanding of what makes content engaging across platforms.
• Confidence filming and editing short-form video content. You don't need to be a professional videographer, but you should be comfortable turning an idea into great social content.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset.
• A good eye for design and comfort creating polished materials in Canva or similar tools.
• Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Comfort learning new digital tools and working with basic marketing data and performance metrics.
• The ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment while also being a collaborative member of a small team.
• A strong desire to take ownership and initiative.
• Ability to travel locally within the GTA for occasional events, content creation and other on-location marketing activities.
• An interest in sports, youth development and living an active lifestyle - we practice what we preach!

Responsibilities:

As our Marketing Coordinator, you'll get hands-on experience across brand, content, digital and local marketing. You'll work closely with the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager to bring Sportball's marketing plans to life across our corporate locations and franchise network. In this role you will:

• Create content people want to engage with. Film, edit and publish social content for Sportball's brand and corporate channels, and help develop seasonal and evergreen creative for organic and paid campaigns.
• Support local marketing. Help execute marketing activities across Sportball's corporately owned territories, including social media, email campaigns, events, promotions and local initiatives designed to drive registrations and growth.
• Keep our digital presence fresh. Support website updates including local pages, banners, photography, and blog content.
• Bring campaigns to life. Support the strategy and execution of seasonal campaigns, email marketing, paid media, brand collaborations and other marketing initiatives.
• Create on-brand marketing materials. Develop and adapt digital and print materials while helping maintain an organized, easy-to-use library of brand assets and templates.
• Support our Franchise Partners. Help create marketing materials, content and resources that make it easier for our network to market Sportball effectively in their local communities.
• Help us stay organized & learn what's working. Keep marketing calendars up to date and support campaign measurement and reporting. Use results and customer insights to help the marketing team continuously improve.
• Get out from behind the laptop. Support occasional events, lead content shoots, and attend on-location marketing activities.
