Maintenance Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic Hamilton team and contribute to our continued growth.

  Duties and Responsibilities:

Team, Equipment, and Facilities Management

• Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Act as a leader in health and safety, implement programs and lead the maintenance team to adopt safer behaviours.
• Mentor team members to develop their maintenance expertise.
• Ensure the implementation and continued use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ensure the availability of parts and materials required for maintenance activities.
• Coordinate the interventions of external suppliers and contractors.
• Participate in the analysis of failures and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Manage the forklift fleet, building, and grounds.

Inventory and supply management

• Control stocks of chemicals and maintenance parts.
• Analyze supply needs and ensure availability.
• Participate in the optimization of inventory processes and the supply chain.
• Produce inventory monitoring and analysis reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures during storage and handling.

Procurement

• Identify and source suppliers. Negotiate the best pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Execute purchasing activities within delegated authority limits.
• Create and track purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and ensure proper verification of received goods.

Qualifications

Education and experience

• Certificate or diploma in industrial maintenance, facilities management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Experience in supervising staff.
• Knowledge of overhead cranes and industrial equipment.
• Asset: Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
