Lead Guest Services / Host
Join Our Team!
We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Lead Guest Services / Host to join our team at a very busy, high-volume restaurant.
This is a key leadership position for someone who understands that the guest experience begins the moment a customer walks through the door. The ideal candidate is confident, organized, warm, and able to stay calm and professional while managing a fast-paced dining room.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support the host/guest services team during busy service periods
- Welcome guests warmly and create a positive first impression
- Manage reservations, waitlists, seating flow, and guest requests
- Confidently use OpenTable to manage reservations and table availability
- Coordinate closely with servers, managers, and the kitchen to maintain an efficient flow of service
- Monitor the dining room and help manage pacing and table turns
- Handle guest concerns and special requests with professionalism and genuine hospitality
- Communicate clearly with the team during high-volume services
- Help train and mentor new hosts and guest service team members
- Maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional front-of-house environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or guest services
- OpenTable experience is strongly preferred
- Previous host, lead host, maître d’, or restaurant leadership experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a very busy environment
- Calm, confident, and solution-oriented under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- A genuine passion for creating an exceptional guest experience
- Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Availability to work busy evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
