Arcana Spirit Lounge is hiring experienced servers.

ROLE PROFILE: Server

REPORTS TO: FOH Manager General Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the highest guest satisfaction by providing consistent excellence of service and giving genuine personal attention 
• Project a pleasant and positive professional image to all guests at all times 
• Sell and up-sell menu and beverage menu items 
• Deliver and present food and beverage items to guest tables in a timely manner 
• Buss and re-set tables, keep server stations stocked and clean 
• Perform opening and closing duties, as well as daily and weekly cleaning duties, as outlined in checklists 
• Maintain good working knowledge of the POS system and payment machines in order to provide efficient and accurate ordering and billing 
• Maintain knowledge of restaurant menus, including features, glossaries, and technique to deliver accurate information to guests 
• Communicate with guests, supervisors and co-workers, using appropriate etiquette and language, and work in cooperation with all colleagues, supervisors and other departments. 
• Comply with Arcana policies and procedures 

Qualifications/Qualities:

• Minimum of 3-year experience working in a restaurant (fine dining an asset) 
• A sincere desire to exceed guest expectations 
• A passion for food and drink 
• An ability to self-motivate and work well under pressure 
• Strong communication skills 
• Must be enthusiastic and team-oriented 
• Must be personable and professional 
• FoodSafe Level 1 
• Flexible availability, including late nights, weekends, and holidays 

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, evenings, late night holidays, and weekends as business requires
• Long periods of standing, walking, and talking
• Walking up and down multiple flights of stairs
• Exposure to extremely hot and cold temperatures from equipment
• Lifting up to 30lbs
• Exposure to potential food allergens; shellfish, fish, nuts
