Full Stack Developer - FinSys

We’re currently working with a client looking to build and enhance modern web applications, with a strong focus on Angular (v17+) on the frontend and Java (17+) on the backend , combined with exposure to AI-assisted development tools and LLM-based components .

Key Technical Requirements:

• Full Stack Development (5–7+ years) with a balanced split across frontend and backend
• Frontend:
  • Angular 17+, TypeScript 5.x
  • Angular Material / Material Design
  • Building UI components and integrating with APIs
  • Testing with Jest
• Backend:
  • Java 17+ with Jakarta EE 10
  • REST API development (validation, security, scalable architecture)
  • Strong understanding of JSON, and secure coding practices
  • Testing with JUnit 5
• Database:
  • Strong SQL fundamentals (queries, joins, indexing, transactions)
  • Schema design and performance tuning
  • Experience with Oracle / PL/SQL is a plus
• Dev Tools & Practices:
  • Git (branching, code reviews)
  • Maven for build management
  • Docker for containerization
  • Strong testing mindset (unit + integration)

AI / Modern Tooling Exposure:

• Experience using tools like GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, or Devin
• Understanding of vector databases (e.g., ChromaDB) and RAG workflows
• Exposure to LangChain or Haystack (pipelines, retrieval, prompt orchestration)

➕ Nice-to-Have:

• Python / FastAPI
• Spring Batch
• OpenShift / Kubernetes
• Redis or Jasper Reports

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Building and maintaining full stack features (UI → API → database)
• Designing API contracts, logging, and error handling
• Writing and maintaining automated tests (Jest + JUnit)
• Working closely with product, QA, and DevOps in an agile setup
• Leveraging AI tools to improve development productivity and product capabilities

The team is looking for someone who can own features end-to-end , write clean and testable code, and has an interest in working with modern AI-enabled development practices .

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Toronto,ON.
