SOX Senior Consultant Toronto
emergiTEL Inc.
Lead SOX 404 control testing for Financial Services clients as a Senior Consultant with emergiTEL in Toronto, Ontario. Remote work is possible during Eastern Time Zone business hours.
This contract position supports governance, risk management, and control engagements. You will apply internal controls, compliance, internal audit, and risk management expertise across client projects. The work includes Canadian regulatory considerations involving OSFI, FINTRAC, CIRO, and FSRA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engagement planning, execution, and reporting activities
- Design testing programs for risks, compliance, and controls
- Perform control testing and document procedures and results
- Prepare findings, observations, and recommendations reports
- Manage multiple client engagements and mentor team members
Requirements:
- Three to five years in internal controls, compliance, audit, or risk
- Strong Financial Services industry experience
- Understanding of Canadian regulatory requirements
- Professional designation related to risk or internal audit preferred
- Ability to support project management and client relationships
